MyCSULB is the online campus portal serving students and employees of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) since 2013. Managed by the campus Information Technology Services (ITS) division, it acts as a one-stop platform providing access to various academic and administrative services.
By integrating essential systems like enrollment & registration, fee payment, financial aid, email, document storage, and more onto a single login portal, MyCSULB enables convenient campus interactions for over 37,000 Beach community members.

Background
CSULB is the third largest university in the 23-campus California State University system. With a vision to provide “transformative education reflecting and advancing civic and cultural life”, the institution offers over 100 degree programs to a vibrant student population.
However, with the university’s rapid expansion, there was a need to unify access to its growing online services and information systems. This led to the genesis of the MyCSULB online portal project in 2012 as part of the ITS division’s strategic roadmap.
The project mandate focused on ease-of-use, mobile-friendliness, accessibility standards alignment, and rigorous security protocols adhering to industry best practices as well as FERPA regulations for managing student data.

MyCSULB integrates the university’s key academic and administrative systems onto a single platform:
- BeachBoard for course management.
- Student Center for enrollment, registration, and grades.
- Financial System for payments, and account summaries.
- Financial Aid for award packages, and loan status.
- Direct Deposit module for eRefunds.
- Email, and drive storage via G Suite.
